Italian BMT Sliders Recipe

Italian BMT Sliders are a fun, bite-sized version of the classic Italian sub, packed with layers of bold, savory flavors. Perfect for parties, game days, or casual dinners, these sliders combine salami, pepperoni, ham, and melty cheese, all baked in soft slider buns with a flavorful garlic butter topping.

Ingredients:

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices deli ham
  • 6 slices salami
  • 6 slices pepperoni
  • 6 slices provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers (optional, for tang)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the slider buns:
Slice the slider buns in half horizontally without separating the individual buns, keeping the bottom and top halves intact. Place the bottom half of the buns in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Add the condiments:
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Spread this mixture evenly over the bottom half of the buns.
  4. Layer the meats and cheese:
Layer the ham slices evenly over the buns, followed by the salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese slices. If using banana peppers, spread them over the cheese for an extra zesty kick.
  5. Top the sliders:
Place the top half of the slider buns over the layered meats and cheese.
  6. Make the garlic butter topping:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture over the top of the buns. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and parsley for extra flavor.
  7. Bake:
Cover the sliders loosely with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the buns are golden brown.
  8. Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Cut into individual sliders and serve warm. These Italian BMT Sliders are perfect for any occasion and are sure to be a hit!
