Ham and Cheese Roll-Ups are a simple yet tasty snack or appetizer perfect for parties, lunch boxes, or even a quick meal. These warm, flaky roll-ups are filled with savory ham and melted cheese, all wrapped in buttery crescent roll dough. They’re easy to prepare and a hit with both kids and adults.
Ingredients:
- 1 can (8 pieces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 8 slices of deli ham
- 8 slices of cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or American)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)
Directions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles along the perforated lines.
- Assemble the Roll-Ups:
- Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each crescent roll triangle.
- If desired, spread a small amount of Dijon mustard over the cheese before rolling.
- Starting at the wide end of the dough, roll it up toward the pointed end, making sure the ham and cheese are tucked inside.
- Egg Wash: Place the rolled-up crescents on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden, shiny finish when baked. Sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top for an added crunch and decorative touch (optional).
- Bake: Bake the ham and cheese roll-ups in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes or until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. They can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
