Milk Chocolate Covered Almonds Recipe

Three Corn Casserole Recipe

Milk chocolate-covered almonds are a delightful snack that combines the rich taste of smooth milk chocolate with the crunchy, nutty flavor of roasted almonds. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for any occasion, whether you’re looking for a sweet snack or a homemade gift for someone special.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips (or chopped milk chocolate)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter (optional, for a smoother coating)
  • Sea salt (optional, for a slight contrast in flavor)

Directions

  1. Prepare the Almonds:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the raw almonds on a baking sheet in a single layer.
    • Roast the almonds for 10-12 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until golden brown and fragrant. Let them cool completely.
  2. Melt the Chocolate:
    • Place the milk chocolate chips and coconut oil (optional) in a heatproof bowl. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave.
    • For the microwave method, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Coat the Almonds:
    • Once the almonds have cooled, pour them into the melted chocolate. Stir to coat the almonds evenly in chocolate.
  4. Set the Coated Almonds:
    • Using a fork or slotted spoon, transfer the chocolate-coated almonds onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring they are separated and not clumped together.
    • Optional: Sprinkle a little sea salt on top before the chocolate sets for a delicious sweet-and-salty contrast.
  5. Chill:
    • Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate has fully hardened.
  6. Serve or Store:
    • Once the almonds are fully set, they are ready to enjoy! Store them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to two weeks.
